Barachakia is in the East Champarana district of Bihar. It was here that Respected Guruji had conducted a course from 12th to 22nd March 1970 in a sugar mill in which 48 meditators had participated. Many courses have been held here after that but no Vipassana centre has been established here so far. There is a small place in the middle of the town where one-day courses and group meditation are held. They are planning to establish a centre here by making it double storeyed for accommodating nearly 45-50 meditators. The construction work has started.
